The Tucson Police Department with Assistant Chief Carla Johnson welcome the visitors from around the world as they discuss Gender Based Violence. The Tucson Police Department is always willing to meet with the visitors to share knowledge and experience.
The Shadow Wolves hosted the visitors from Europe, taking them on a tour of how the tracking works and the dedicated work of these Tohono O’odham members of ICE.
In July we were fortunate to have visitors from Columbia who had a chance to see the Mexican/American border and visit with Sheriff Tony Estrada. It is always a pleasure for the visitors to spend time with the Sheriff and learn of border issues.
In November we hosted a group from the Pacific Islands where they were fortunate enough to meet with the Pascua Yaqui police department, and then on to the Tohono O’odham reservation where they met with the SXD Education Program Manager. The Open World Group visited us a couple of months ago from Eurasia. The program was part of the Rumsfeld Foundation administered by FHI360 and SAZCIV. The visitors were home stay guests while in Southern Arizona. We thank the hosts for opening their homes and hearts to the visitors.
