We have a group coming in from Ukraine on transplants and need home stay homes for them. This group will be staying in private homes, such as yours, that can offer a bedroom (with a door that closes), you will be responsible for picking the visitor up at the airport upon arrival and returning them to your home for the week. They will start their program the day after arrival by being dropped off (by you) at Pima Community College Downtown Campus in the morning where they will meet the rest of their group and be picked up there at the end of the programming day (usually 5 p.m.) They have breakfast and dinner with you. Breakfast can be light since they will have a good lunch. On the last evening of the program (before departure) there will be a dinner for the host families, visitors and some CDA leadership as a wrap up time to share their thoughts and for CDA to say thank you to the hosts. This is paid for by CDA.
Each host receives a $75 gift card per visitor to help offset some of the costs of hosting.
This is a fantastic way to get to know someone from another country, make a new friend, share some of our Arizona hospitality and more.
